Science at The Orchards is fun, engaging and high-quality which provides children with the foundations and knowledge for understanding the world around them. At The Orchards School, it is our intent to encourage children to be inquisitive throughout their time at the school and beyond.
The Science curriculum offers children the opportunity to gain knowledge of key concepts and develop their working scientifically skills, through hands on investigation. Children apply their knowledge of science when using equipment, conducting experiments, building arguments and explaining concepts confidently. They continue to ask questions and be curious about their surroundings.
At The Orchards we want children to aim high and understand the opportunities the future could hold for them as scientists. We want children to be inspired to be a meteorologist, forensic scientist, vet, chemist, microbiologist, engineer.
