Welcome to Nursery, this is where your story begins! Our adults are Mrs Kilgallon and Mrs Weaver. We work hard as a team to ensure children feel safe, valued and nurtured within the Nursery environment.

We have our own designated nursery and garden area where we have a range of activities such as sand and water, construction, role play and craft.
The children practise their physical skills and learn about the world around them. We enjoy listening to stories and rhymes, singing and dancing, exploring and investigating and getting messy whilst playing and learning inside and out! We have an amazing, purpose built Forest School, which we access as often as we can.
We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum which comprises of seven areas of learning; Personal, Social and Emotional Development; Physical Development; Communication and Language; Literacy; Mathematics; Understanding of the World and Expressive Arts and Design.
Have a look at what we are learning!
Through our planned activities children will be learning:
Down at the farm:
To know that some animals live on a farm including pigs, sheep, cows and chickens. To recognise some animal body parts including ears, tail, beak, wings, feet and snout. To name some of the foods that we eat that come from the farm including cereal, bread, eggs, milk, chicken.
Signs of Spring:
To recognise some signs of spring including daffodils, lambs, chicks and green leaves and blossom on trees. To know that lambs and chicks are baby sheep and chickens and are born in Spring time and that chicks hatch from eggs. To recognise some parts of chicks and lambs including beak, wings, feathers, tail, ears and wool coat. To know that lots of plants get planted in Spring.
Easter:
To know that Christians celebrate Easter and that Easter eggs represent new life.
These are some of the stories we will be enjoying this half term:

We use a themed approach to learning, reflecting children’s interests, where each term an exciting topic is used as a starting point for learning.
